To camp in the Showplane Camping area, you must be an active EAA member, and your airplane must be eligible for judging in one of EAA’s judging categories.
(Please see Judging Standards
Manual.) If your aircraft is parked in this area you will be charged for camping.
Rates are $22
per night.

All showplanes must be tied down.

Only one tent per plane unless a second tent is needed for immediate family members.

All campsites must be paid for before setup. Always display proper camping credentials. Camping registration number must be easily visible.

Wristbands and program books may be purchased at the Registration building.

Proper daily or weekly wristbands must be worn on the flight line at all times.

The Oshkosh Fire
Department strictly prohibits wood campfires and charcoal grills (per
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards) anywhere in the
aircraft camping areas on Wittman Regional Airport grounds.

Careful use of white gas or propane fired camp stoves is allowed in showplane camping, provided they are used in an area well away from parked aircraft, and that the stove is attended at all times. It is strongly recommended that aircraft near the stove be checked for any fuel fumes or leakage, and the stove be elevated above ground level.

No pets.

Bicycles or personal
transportation machines such as Segways are not allowed in showplane
camping, or on the remainder of the Convention site. Those items are
allowed in the General Aviation North 40 area and Camp Scholler. There
is a bike parking area near the Theater in the Woods admission gate,
as well as across from the North 40 Registration building.
