Mike Goulian

Michael Goulian is one of only a few aerobatic aviators who are popular on a global scale. An edgy, hard, and aggressive style of flying, have become Michael’s signature, and it amazes fans across the globe.

On most weekends from April through November, Michael can be seen flying a mesmerizing and intense high performance solo aerobatic display accompanied by a high tech choreographed music system that leaves spectators emotional and wanting more.

Always one driven by a passion for competition, Michael can also be seen racing around the skies in beautiful foreign locations in the Red Bull Air Race, where millions of fans get a chance to see Michael “up close and personal”.

Flying is, Goulian likes to say, a high-performance sport. So he lives his life along those lines: he pays close attention to nutrition and works out almost every day with a personal trainer.

Michael has almost two decades of experience performing at world’s top air shows, having started in the business at age 18. Although he enjoys his reputation as a great aviator with a flawless safety record, he is also a dedicated professional with his fans. Michael also prides himself as being “easy to work with” and unassuming with the professional air show promoters who work with him at their events.

THE PLANE
EXTRA 330SC Unlimited Aerobatic Aircraft

The Castrol Aviator Extra 330SC is the world’s newest custom-built premiere aerobatic aircraft. You may not be able to tell the difference between this aircraft and his previous Extra, as it has the same paint job and sponsor logos - but Michael can tell you that “this is the best airplane I have ever owned”.

Produced by Extra Aircraft of Europe, the 330SC is lighter, faster and more maneuverable than any other aircraft of this type. The main difference between the 330SC and Michael’s former air show aircraft, the 300SHP, is its wing design. The new wing and increased maneuverability gives Michael’s aircraft an even faster roll rate and gives Michael the ability to take his air show performance to an even higher level of extreme aerobatics. The Extra tumbles and rotates at awe inspiring rates in almost any attitude, which gives world class pilot Michael Goulian the freedom to use his imagination to create a show to leave the fans wanting more!

Michael’s new Extra comes with a new Hartzell composite propeller. Nicknamed the “Claw”, due to its pulling power, the Hartzell propeller is the prop of choice for many aerobatic pilots.
