B-17 Aluminum Overcast: Honor the legacy of the greatest generation with a flight on EAA's beautifully restored World War II-era bomber. Fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent aircraft, just as those brave young men did more than 50 years ago. Flights depart from Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton, with shuttles departing the AirVenture grounds.
B-29 FIFI: For the first time at AirVenture, flights are available on the Commemorative Air Force's iconic Boeing B-29 Superfortress FIFI - the world's only remaining flying example of the aircraft. Flights will be based at Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton.
Ford Tri-Motor: Take a ride the first mass-produced airliner, the Ford Tri-Motor. There are nine passengers per flight and everyone has a window.
Premier Helicopter Experience: New for 2012, enjoy a new level of flight experience of AirVenture with a 30-minute, deluxe aerial tour in a Schweizer 333 turbine helicopter. Passengers will gain a unique perspective of not only AirVenture's main grounds, but also the hidden treasure that is the Seaplane Base, nestled in a cove along the shore of Lake Winnebago. Topping the premium experience off is a high-quality color photo of passengers in front of the helicopter.
Bell 47 Helicopter: Flights in a unique pattern circling over the AirVenture grounds. Purchase your tickets for $49 per person at Pioneer Airport's Pitcairn Hangar, located behind the EAA AirVenture Museum. Shuttles to the museum frequently run from the Bus Park outside the Main Gate. Walk-up reservations only.
