|NASA will bring the "Drive To Explore" exhibit to AirVenture.
NASA returns to EAA AirVenture in 2012 with several current space exploration projects, giving fly-in attendees a unique taste of this ever-changing field of aviation.
Located in the Innovation Hangar - South, NASA will have three exhibit areas featuring a mobile space exploration experience, the Commercial space partners, the Johnson Space Center team highlighting the International Space Station, and the humanoid robotic project "Robonaut."
The mobile space exploration experience, "Drive To Explore," is a multimedia exhibit that immerses visitors in the story of NASA using technology to connect them with the space program. DTE visitors will learn about research activities, flight missions, and have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to touch a 4-billion-year-old moon rock back brought on Apollo 17.
This exhibit is free and designed for all ages to enjoy.
As a part of their AirVenture visit, NASA will host three different forum sessions on Thursday, July 26, at Honda Forum Pavilion #7.
