For the fourth consecutive year at AirVenture, the UW-Oshkosh Business Success Center is organizing AeroInnovate, which highlights new technologies, entrepreneurs, emerging companies, and investment trends.
This year's event includes a new Startup Aviation Day on Wednesday, July 25, in the Innovations Hangar - North (formerly Children's Activity Hangar). Scott Case, CEO of Startup America Partnership, kicks things off at 9 a.m. and is followed by several Venture Forums that include "Funding Your Dream" with Alan Klapmeier, "Telling Your Idea in 30 Seconds or Less" with Bill Joos, and "Investing in Aviation and Beyond" with Joe Landon of the Space Angels Network.
The Venture Forums are followed by the inaugural Investors Only Roundtable Dinner and the popular Pitch & Mingle networking session that will cap off Startup Aviation Day.
The Investors Only Roundtable, held from 5:15-6:45 p.m. at the Sikorsky tent, will provide an opportunity for current and interested investors in the aviation/aerospace industry to discuss experiences, challenges, and opportunities. There will be representation from all types of investors including angels, venture capital, OEMs, and other partners.
The evening will include a panel of Dr. Morton Grosser, Alan Klapmeier, Ben Marcus, and Richard Leamon, with Sikorsky's Jonathan Hartman moderating the open, facilitated discussion.

The Pitch & Mingle event, which will be held from 7-10 p.m. at the EAA Aviators Club, will provide an opportunity for the most serious aero-entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and potential investors to "mingle" and entrepreneurs chosen from a list of applicants will "pitch" their businesses.
Among the pitching companies will be e-volo, Engineered Propulsion Systems, MakerPlane, OpenAirplane, SmartPlane, and Unmanned Innovation. Pitch & Mingle will be emceed by Knotridge's Gretchen Jahn and Startup America's Scott Case.
AeroInnovate is free with AirVenture admission, except for the Pitch & Mingle and Investors Only Roundtable Dinner, which are $35 each or $50 for both events. Reservations are required as space is limited. For information, visit the AeroInnovate website.
