With a little more than two weeks before EAA AirVenture 2012 begins, Sporty's has released its official AirVenture 2012 app for iPad, iPhone, and Android to help convention-goers get the most out of their Oshkosh visit.
"AirVenture is way too big to arrive without a plan. There's no way you can see and do everything just strolling around," said Sporty's Vice President John Zimmerman. "With Sporty's app, you can chart your course ahead of time and design your days based on your own must-do's and must-see's."
The app's "My Schedule" feature lets users create personalized and detailed itineraries. In order to stay current with the AirVenture activities, linked access to EAA news, EAA's Twitter feed, and EAA radio is also included with this app.
Interactive maps of the grounds and exhibitors show the precise location and description each venue to help users plan their walk around the grounds much more efficiently.
Along with helping direct visitors during their time at Oshkosh, features of the Sporty's app will also help them come or go from the AirVenture grounds, by either car or plane.
For those coming to AirVenture by car, road maps and detailed parking directions are right at the user's fingertips. For those in the air, the complete EAA AirVenture NOTAM is included, as well as special FBO offers and the convenient Understanding AirVenture ATC Guide.
For those who have not yet purchase their AirVenture 2012 tickets, Sporty's app will eliminate time spent waiting in line to purchase tickets at the gate.
