| Three pilots received their wings at last year's AirVenture Able Flight presentation ceremony. |
Able Flight, a scholarship program that empowers those with physical disabilities to learn to fly, will return to EAA AirVenture 2012 for its Wings Pinning Ceremony.
This very special ceremony, which celebrates the students who have completed their flight training, will take place on Tuesday, July 24, at 11:45 a.m. on Phillips 66 Plaza.
Able Flight was created with the belief that physical impairments should not limit people from experiencing the thrill of piloting a plane and has changed several lives as a result. The Wings Pinning Ceremony is one of the most special moments for Able Flight participants, and the public is invited to share in this celebration during AirVenture.
Renowned air show performer Michael Goulian will again take part in the ceremony, which is gearing up to be the biggest group in Able Flight's history.
Check out the Able Flight website for more information.
