Radio is ready to be your constant convention companion with live interviews,
special event coverage, and daily broadcast of the Showcase flights, air show,
and Theater in the Woods.
AirVenture programming resumes the evening of July
24 with a strong lineup of interviews and new programs. On-field attendees
should stop by the EAA Welcome Center daily at 11 a.m. for EAA Radio Live
featuring notable guests including EAA President/CEO Rod Hightower, B-787 Chief
Pilot Mike Carriker, Astronaut Gene Cernan, a Navy Day special, EAA Young Eagles
Co-Chairmen Sully Sullenberger and Jeff Skiles, and Aaron Tippin.
At AirVenture EAA Radio can be heard on AM 1210 and
93.3 FM. Those unable to make it to the convention can listen to the live stream
on a computer and many mobile phone devices at EAARadio.net. IPhone and iPad
users can download Version 4 of the EAA Radio App, updated for iOS 4. Also at
our website is a link to the daily broadcast schedule, past archives, and our
live in-studio cam.
Live programming begins each morning from the Studio
in the Sky at 0600/1200 UTC, with interviews and conversation about all things
aviation with longtime hosts Digital Dave, Fast Eddie, Magneto Mel, Wireless Mic,
Codetalker, and Stuck Mic. Additionally, long-time host J-Mont-G will be once
again taking the EAA Radio Rover around the grounds for his daily On the Fly
program, live from various AirVenture venues.
EAA Radio is entering its 16th year covering the
convention and has been broadcasting year-round since 2009. Listen 24 hours a
