Saturday (July 21) the first EAA Spirit of
Aviation Auction gets under way at the EAA Jack Mark Hangar at 9:30 a.m.
More than 50 aircraft--from light planes
to jets-are up for bid; all in excellent, original, or recently restored
condition.
A tram will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
between auction headquarters near the flight line and the Mark Hangar,
just north of the North 40. You can also take the N40 bus to the
Perimeter Road bus to get there.
The Spirit of Aviation Auction is
conducted by real-estate auction company REDC and Auction.com,
working in conjunction with EAA.
Proceeds will benefit EAA's youth and
educational programs.
