The popular
"Built Ford Tough" cowboy hats make a return at EAA
AirVenture Oshkosh 2010. |
The best things in life are free. That's
the motto we adhered to when scoping the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh grounds
in search of free "swag," or "stuff we all get." The
following exhibitors offered swag both useful and fun-and while it only
represents a small portion-we think it'll give you a good start to your
swag hunt.
Priceless Plane Products [#303]
In addition to displaying their aircraft tugs and portable power
units, Priceless Plane Products is giving away free "Gilligan"
hats. A 360-degree pliable rim and side vents make this the perfect swag
for those looking to keep cool and limit sun exposure. Aye, aye,
skipper!
Scotts Miracle-Gro Company [#296-298]
"Backyard fun" is the theme at Scotts Miracle-Gro's booth.
Its grass display features daily beanbag toss tournaments, patio
furniture, lively music, and Carl Edwards' Scotts Miracle-Gro stock car.
In addition to giving away free visors, can koozies, and product
samples, the company is participating at EAA KidVenture, giving away
free, colorable printed T-shirts for the future pilots at Oshkosh.
Icon Aircraft [#162-164, 180-182]
The Icon Aircraft exhibit features a three-screen, hands-on flight
simulator that lets you take virtual control of the Icon A5. Converted
from a Formula 1 simulator, the unit was specially designed for
AirVenture and provides attendees an early look at the flight
characteristics of the amphibious sport aircraft. As for swag, Icon
Aircraft is giving away temporary tattoos and stickers sporting the
company's sleek logo.
Cessna Aircraft Company [#78-82,
100-116]
Smudge your glasses while perusing the vast variety of airplanes at
Oshkosh? Stop by Cessna Aircraft Company's exhibit along Celebration Way
to pick up a free eyeglass cleaning cloth. Not only will this free swag
help you see Oshkosh in its entirety, it also features the complete
lineup of Cessna aircraft. An instant collector's item!
HondaJet Display [#407-416]
HondaJet has created a tradition of giving away a different color hat
with the company's logo each year. Want to know what this year's color
is? Visit its booth to find out, but make sure you get there early…
350 hats are handed out each day starting at 9 a.m. and it's first come,
first served!
Ford Motor Company [#346]
The Ford Hangar along AeroShell Square boasts some impressive swag for
EAA AirVenture 2010 attendees. Returning in 2010 are the "Built
Ford Tough" cowboy hats, which attendees will receive after
completing four interactive Ford exhibits. But perhaps the greatest swag
offered is the chance to win a free ride in the Ford Tri-Motor.
Attendees will have to win at a "Family Feud" style game show
with Hangar Master Narrator "Hank" the Robot summoning
questions on Ford's history. The game show takes place every hour, on
the hour, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
