1946 Stinson 108-1

1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D

Here's two more outstanding aircraft registered for EAA's first Spirit of Aviation Auction during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2010 - Saturday, July 31: a 1946 Stinson 108-1 (N-40164), and a 1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D. (N-96130)

The Stinson has 2,000 hours TT on the air frame; the engine, 600 hours SMOH. Metalized wings - Cleveland wheels and brakes - shoulder harnesses on pilot and co-pilot seats, which were reupholstered in 2008. Fourplace intercom - electric artificial horizon - Garmin 250 GPS/com.

The Taylorcraft won Bronze Lindys at Oshkosh 2007 and 2008 and is sport-pilot eligible. Was on the cover of Vintage Airplane in February 2008. Airframe TT 2301 hrs; Continental A-65-8 engine TT 1,680, and SMOH 62 hours; fabric new 2007 (PolyFiber). Comes with Federal 1500 skis, Reiff preheater, winter covers, spares, parts, manuals, reference materials - a pickup truckload of extras.

The auction will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at EAA's Jack Mark Hangar located on the north side of Wittman Regional Airport. The process of registering for consignment is easy.
