By Kent Misegades, EAA AirVenture Today

July 30, 2009 - Oshkosh, Wisconsin  - Sport pilots have long known the advantages of partnering to lower the cost of aircraft ownership. Two challenges are, however, finding the right partners and administering the business side of the partnership.

The Aircraft Partnership Association (APA) addresses both problems with its free online service on display in the Aviation Learning Center.

APA founder and CEO David Kruger reports that within one week of going online more than 1,000 people had signed up and the first successful “matches” were being reported.

Beyond helping to match potential partners, APA provides guidance on best practices for setting up a partnership, plus online services to assist scheduling maintenance and cost calculations. APA’s services are provided free of charge on their website www.theapa.com.

FUTURE AIRVENTURE DATES: 2014: July 28-Aug. 3; 2015: July 20-26; 2016: July 25-31; 2017: July 24-30
