WhiteKnightTwo circles the skies above AirVenture before arriving
on Monday.
July 28, 2009 - Oshkosh, Wisconsin - WhiteKnightTwo,
launch vehicle for the first civilian space flight system, will take to
the air for a demonstration fly-by at 2:30 p.m. today.
The largest composite aircraft ever built,
VMS Eve arrived from its base at Scaled Composites in Mojave, California
on Monday. The fly-by demonstration will be preceded by a 12:45 p.m. press
conference at AeroShell Square where Scaled Composites Chairman Emeritus
Burt Rutan and Virgin Galactic's Sir Richard Branson, who are developing
the space launch system, will update attendees on the program.
