July 27, 2009 - Oshkosh, WisconsinThis Friday, July 31, the second annual Young Eagles Celebrity Golf Classic will be held at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia, located in Green Lake, Wisconsin (about 30 miles southwest of Oshkosh). The outing is a unique opportunity to bring golf and aviation enthusiasts together in support of the EAA Young Eagles program and other youth initiatives. Participants can take part in special events at identified holes and golf with some of aviation and golf’s most notable celebrities.

Celebrities joining the outing include: director, screenwriter, producer, and aviation enthusiast Wil Shriner; PGA Tour golf pro Mike McCullough; aerobatics legends Sean Tucker and Mike Goulian; full-time air show pilot and part-time F-16 pilot Ed Hamill; aviation and skiing legend Moose Barrows; country music artist, record producer, and pilot Aaron Tippin; aviation innovator Vern Raburn; and Sharon Poberezny with Tom Poberezny at the controls of the cart!

Prizes include the private use of golf carts during AirVenture, special aviation experiences, and an extraordinary hole-in-one prize—a new Remos aircraft. All participants will receive continental breakfast and a box lunch, a hole-in-one challenge package, and transportation to and from Lawsonia.

There will be a reception and awards ceremony at Lawsonia following the tournament, and all participants are welcome to the President’s BBQ Barbecue Dinner on EAA AirVenture Oshkosh grounds Friday evening.
