EAA
AirVenture offers a unique outlet for the aviation community to reconnect
during its annual "family reunion." Starting this year, EAA
members can also stay connected year-round through Oshkosh365, EAA's new,
free online social network.
During the week, attendees can register for
Oshkosh365 at the EAA Welcome Center, located west of AeroShell Square off
of Celebration Way. Hal Bryan, EAA's online community manager, will be in
the Center along with four staffed kiosks available to help get people
signed up. EAA membership is not required to be part of Oshkosh365, but
members are allowed access to digital editions of EAA Sport Aviation
as well as the magazine's archives.
AirVenture will have expanded Wi-Fi service
this year, allowing users to update, post and receive information online -
including social networking systems like Oshkosh365. People who sign up at
the Welcome Center will get an Oshkosh365-branded AirVenture countdown
clock (available while supplies last). Signing up is free and effortless,
and you can start participating right away!
