With everyone seeking top value for the travel and entertainment dollar in 2009, the culture, attractions, special activities and packages at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh again make “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration” one of the best choices for aviation enthusiasts and family vacationers this year.

The 57th annual edition of EAA AirVenture is July 27-August 2 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. Along with the unmatched lineup of aircraft, activities and entertainment for this year’s event, additional amenities and value offers will greet attendees to what’s often called “aviation’s family reunion.”

More value is available through advance ticket purchase online at www.airventure.org. Discounts are available for both EAA members and non-members through June 15, although EAA membership always ensures the lowest possible price on admissions.

“We understand that nearly everyone wants to get most out of every dollar, including when they choose their entertainment and vacation activities,” said Tom Poberezny, EAA chairman and president, as well as AirVenture chairman. “EAA AirVenture already brings together aircraft, people and activities that simply cannot be found any place else in the world. But in 2009, we’re making sure there are those little extras that save money or make an AirVenture experience even more valuable.”

For aviation enthusiasts, the range of aircraft, programs and activities available at EAA AirVenture would cost six or seven times more if attended separately. Family visitors will discover that admission and parking fees are less than those found at many of Wisconsin’s major events and attractions, with almost everything included in the single admission price.

Daily or weekly admission includes at no extra charge such items as: Concerts by the Doobie Brothers (July 27) and comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham (Aug. 1); EAA AirVenture Museum admission; the KidVenture area devoted to young people and families; unmatched evening programs at EAA’s Theater in the Woods; nightly aviation films at the outdoor Fly-In Theater; the daily afternoon air show featuring the world’s finest aerobatic performers; and much more.

Among new visitor amenities that AirVenture visitors will notice will be broad walkways from the main gate; more exhibitor space; expanded wireless Internet access, and visitor comforts such as additional passenger trams, increased shaded areas and several modernized restroom facilities.

“Along with all the scheduled events, there is the EAA AirVenture culture that brings people together and creates a lifetime of memories along the flight line,” said Tom Poberezny, EAA president and AirVenture chairman. “Whether someone comes for a day, or camps right on the grounds, being part of the world of flight at AirVenture is simply an experience that is unforgettable.”

Complete details on EAA AirVenture activities, admissions, accommodations and more are available at the comprehensive www.airventure.org website. Additional confirmations, programs and information are continually added as it is confirmed.
