A new
service to put pilots together with the public made its debut at
AirVenture this year. ShareYourFlight.com started with a simple
mission: put pilots with open seats together with people who aren’t
pilots but who are interested in taking an airplane ride. Pilots who
are flying and have open seats can register at www.ShareYourFlight.com
for free, and post their flights and contact information.
The
service allows members, who pay dues of $19.95 per year, to review
the postings and contact pilots. For example, someone who is
interested in flying, a pilot who has lost their medical, a pilot of
a light single looking to move up to a complex aircraft or a light
twin can monitor all postings and catch a ride with an area pilot,
and share the flight and expenses of the trip with the pilot.
For more information,
visit its booth in Carrier Hangar E, or at www.ShareYourFlight.com.
