Congressional
leaders will be on site at AirVenture to discuss key policy issues
with members today during a forum at 11:30 a.m. in the Utah Valley
University Pavilion 6.
House
Aviation Subcommittee members, including Chairman Jerry Costello,
will discuss several issues during the forum, including general
aviation user fees and the impact that airspace modernization
proposals will have on EAA members.
Members
of Congress will then tour the grounds and talk with AirVenture
visitors about the future of aviation.
EAA
leadership will also be outlining the specifics of the proposed
changes to the 51 percent rule for members and homebuilders at
additional forums; today at 1 p.m. in Honda Pavilion 9; and on
Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Poly-Fiber Pavilion 10. Proposed changes
could impede homebuilding activities.
