 EAA,
the Oshkosh YMCA, and Run Away Shoes are hosting the second annual EAA
Runway 5K fun run/walk on Saturday, August 2, near the world famous
North 40. Participants of all ages will walk or run the 3.1-mile route
around Wittman Road, with proceeds to benefit the Oshkosh YMCA and EAA
joint youth programs.
Interested
runners and walkers can pre-register online at https://Secure.EAA.org/airventure/runway_5k.html;
at the EAA AirVenture Museum; or at the EAA Welcome Center. Event-day
registration will be at the Aspen Avionics tent located just north of
the Red Lot on Wittman Road. Free parking is available in the Red Lot.
The entry fee is $20 for pre-registration (until 12 p.m. on Friday,
August 1) or $25 for day-of-event registration.
Participants
will receive a special event T-shirt; computer-aided timing chip;
complimentary snacks, water, and juice; and admission for Saturday’s
AirVenture.
