WomenVenture is again shaping up to be a tremendous experience for women pilots and student pilots - past and present. It is a chance to build camaraderie and to use our collective voice to inspire and motivate women of all ages to get engaged in aviation - for fun and/or as part of the career aspirations. There are so many avenues and opportunity - taking the first step is key.

WomenVenture will open the doors to participation, providing mentors, knowledge, and support.

  • Learn how you, too, can become a pilot faster and easier than ever before, and with less investment of time and money.
  • Explore hundreds of workshops and presentations, many featuring women experts, discussing aircraft ownership, building an airplane, learning to fly, and more.
  • Advance the cause of engaging more women in aviation.
  • Discover the latest in aviation technology and the newest aircraft.
  • Experience the power of thousands of women gathered together to share their love of aviation.
  • Reach out to other women and help them learn about aviation opportunities and challenge them to "elevate their lives."
  • Socialize with some of the most interesting women in the world! Meet women from all walks of aviation life-designers, builders, engineers, mechanics, air traffic controllers, retailers, writers, commercial pilots, aerobatic pilots, and more!

The week's focus on motivating women will begin with WomenSoar - You Soar, an educational experience for high school teen girls held in conjunction with UW-Oshkosh and ERAU on July 26 to July 28. Learn more at www.airventure.org/womensoar/.

WomenVenture T-shirts will mark women's participation with distribution beginning Monday, July 27, at the EAA Welcome Center and continuing throughout the week as supplies last. A special distribution will take place on Friday, July 31, at the Women in Aviation International breakfast in preparation for the group photo! Additionally, women can record their participation on any day by signing the logbook, also at the EAA Welcome Center.
