You and three friends will experience the flight of a lifetime. Join a member of this precision aerobatic team inside the cockpit of a thrilling World War II North American advanced trainer aircraft. B-17 Type Rating - limited!

Qualified multi-engine/instrument rated tailwheel pilots will receive the opportunity to earn a B-17 type rating! 8 hours of dual instruction by EAA's CFII, MEI with B-17 type rating, and 8 hours of ground school instruction by the EAA's B-17 ground school instructor. 1.5 hours for type rating ride. Pre-requisites: Applicant must be CURRENT as a multi-engine instrument rated pilot. He or she must possess a tailwheel endorsement. Recent large multi-engine tailwheel experience is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Applicant must also possess a valid third-class medical.

Special & Important Note: Winning bidder will be responsible for coordinating package delivery.

There is no guarantee, expressed or implied with regard to successfully receiving the B-17 type rating in the allotted time. Before being recommended for the type rating ride, the applicant must demonstrate every required task to ATP practical test standards. Stage checks will be performed to ensure that the student is progressing at a pace consistent with a successful outcome. Additional instruction if necessary may be available at the rate of $4,500 per flight hour.

B-17 ICAO SIC Type Rating – offered to qualified multi-engine rated tail wheel pilots

Description: 2 hours of dual instruction by EAA's CFII, MEI with B-17 Type Rating and 8 hours of Ground School instruction by the EAA's B17 ground school Instructor. 0.5 hour for SIC Type ride.

Pre-requisites: Applicant must be CURRENT as a multi engine instrument rated pilot. He or she must possess a tail wheel endorsement. Recent large multi-engine tail wheel experience is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Applicant must also possess a valid third class medical.

Brown Arch Brick

The Brown Arch is a historical area, a "rite of passage" for new and return visitors to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The tribute area is located between Wittman Road and the flightline, and the bricks offered in this auction will be on the west side of the arch. EAA uses the bricks by the throat of the design to welcome all visitors to the "World's Greatest Aviation Celebration." The plaque inscription reads: "The Gateway to Aviation."

Lakeshore Aviation is proud to be the only Seaplane flight instruction school in Wisconsin and Illinois listed by the Seaplane Pilots Association. Here is an opportunity to train for one hour in their 1979 Cessna 172XP (210HP) on Wipline Amphimious floats. The airplane is full IFR, and also features an autopilot.
