Take a Ride in the Sky at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

If you're heading to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this year, there are plenty of opportunities to take flights in three distinctively different aircraft: EAA's B-17 Aluminum Overcast; a Bell 47 helicopter; and EAA's 1929 Ford Tri-Motor. Don't miss out on seeing the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration from above.

'Aluminum Overcast' Flights

During EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, EAA offers historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” This aircraft is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent aircraft, just as those brave young men did more than 50 years ago.

Flights depart from Outagamie County Regional Airport, Appleton. Passengers need to report ready to depart the check-in point by the B-17 trailer on the AirVenture grounds no later than one hour before their scheduled flight to be shuttled to Appleton. Unfortunately due to seat limitations on the shuttle van, B-17 passengers will be the only people shuttled to Appleton.

Advance Purchase Prices: EAA member - $409; Non-EAA member - $449
Walk-up Prices: EAA member - $435; Non-EAA member - $475

For reservations, please call 1-800-359-6217 or buy online.
