Weather
EAA AirVenture is a rain or shine event, but the safety of pilots and
attendees is paramount. Inclement weather may occasionally delay flying
activities, but every effort will be made to produce the afternoon air show
unless safety margins cannot be met.
Weather briefings for pilots on the
AirVenture grounds are available at the FAA building, next to the control
tower. Briefings are also available at north and south briefing annexes. The
North Briefing Annex is located in a mobile trailer in the North 40 area,
across from the registration building. AirVenture admission is not required
to access this facility from the North 40. The South Briefing Annex is
located in a mobile trailer directly north of the Ultralight runway.
In case of severe weather, warnings and
instructions will be given over the AirVenture public address system and
other communications methods.
Welcome Center
Located at corner of Celebration Way and Knapp Street Road, at the west edge
of AeroShell Square. Includes EAA Welcome Center, with information, member
services and Internet café; Learn-To-Fly Center with flight instruction
information; EAA Merchandise area; and EAA Sweepstakes building.
Women Soar You Soar
A two-day program for teenage girls to help inspire them in an aviation career with activities that include flight simulators, workshops, wing rib assembly, mentor sessions and more.
WomenVenture

to build camaraderie and to use our collective voice to inspire and motivate
women of all ages to get engaged in aviation – for fun and/or as part of
the career aspirations.

Denominational and non-denominational worship services are held on the
AirVenture grounds during the convention.
