WASP Scholarship
EAA's Women Soar is offering a
scholarship to attend either EAA AeroScholars (www.aeroscholars.org)
or EAA Air Academy (www.youngeagles.org/programs/airacademy)
during 2009!
Choice 1: AeroScholars is a
web-delivered aero sciences course that provides high school and/or
college credit. It's for high school level students interested in math
or science fields and provides preparation for the FAA written private
pilot's exam.
Choice 2: Air Academy is an
American Camping Association accredited residence camp held in
Oshkosh. It offers exciting aviation challenges and experiences
including flight! The Scholarship recipient may attend a camping
session between June and August, 2009.
This $500 scholarship honors the memory
of The WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots) who have passed away. The
WASP greatly valued the scholarship program and EAA, and they have
participated in the inaugural Women Soar in 2005. They believed in
inspiring young women to pursue their dreams.
