Workshops
Homebuilding
gets to the heart of EAA, and you can learn just about every skill you
need to build an airplane at AirVenture. Patterned after the highly
successful EAA SportAir Workshops, these mini workshops let you
experience a taste of aircraft building.

Speaker Showcase
An outstanding roster of aviation personalities is slated to appear
every day, telling their personal stories throughout several locations
at the world-class EAA AirVenture Museum. Over 100 Speaker Showcase
presentations provide an opportunity to hear first hand from a variety

Author's Corner
Author's Corner is open daily at three locations - the EAA Wearhouse and
the Skyhoppe on the AirVenture grounds, and within the EAA AirVenture
Museum. It’s not just about great aviation books - though there are
plenty from which to choose. Author’s Corner is more about
special places where people from around the world drop by to converse
about flight, patriotism, and friendships.

Affordable Flying Center
Located in the former NASA building (north of the old control tower
adjacent to the Honda Forums Plaza), the Affordable Flight Center will
feature a mini forum area, indoor displays, and examples of Standard
Category aircraft like the Taylorcraft, Piper Colt/Tri-Pacer, etc., that
can provide an economical pathway to flight. EAA's staff of experts and
volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information
to those seeking a less expensive way to pursue their aviation passion.

Women Soar You Soar
Ever wonder what it's like to fly a plane? Or soar into space? EAA's
Women Soar You Soar is the ideal place for high school girls to
find out. Now in its fourth year, the unique program introduces 150
girls to more than 30 women, from engineers to fighter pilots, working
in a variety of aviation and aerospace fields. It's a two-day event,
July 28-29, 2008, filled with career exploration, discover, inspiration,

WomenVenture
EAA's goal is to introduce aviation as an enjoyable interest, hobby, or
profession to thousands of women over the next several years. The first
step will be made at AirVenture 2008 when we're asking women pilots to
converge upon Oshkosh to set a record for the number of women pilots
gathered in one location at one time…ever! By setting such a world
record, EAA's goal is to inspire women throughout the world that they,
too, can reach for the sky…and elevate their life.
