Warren began flying at a young age and soloed at age 16. He continued obtaining his certificates and flying with his father, Al Pietsch. Warren began flying charter for the family business soon after high school and continued operating the business with his father until 1989 when he began working for a major airline. He is currently a 737 captain.

In 1980, after restoration of the Taylorcraft, Warren joined his father and brother, Kent in the air show industry. His air show airplanes, the Clipped Wing Taylorcraft and Schnortenzumer, were built by Warren, his dad and the shop crew at Pietsch Aircraft. He is currently qualified for aerobatics in numerous other aircraft.

Warren has accumulated over 26,000+ hours of flight time in aircraft ranging from Gliders to Lockheed L-1011’s including WWII vintage aircraft and a wide variety of Antique airplanes.

THE PLANE
1946 Clipped-Wing Taylorcraft

In 1980, Warren and the crew at Pietsch Aircraft Restoration & Repair, completed a modification of the 1946 Taylor Craft BC-12D. At this time the wing was clipped 14 feet, leaving only a 24 foot wingspan. It has a 180 hp Lycoming engine. This aircraft was originally built as a utility aircraft in 1946. It has been modified to withstand the strains of the aerobatic routine. This act incorporates nostalgic aerobatic maneuvers from the 1930's, 40's & 50's. But also includes precision aerobatics associated with modern aircraft. Warren performs a graceful and exciting routine in this clipped wing T-Craft.
