THE PLANE
1946 Clipped-Wing Taylorcraft
In 1980, Warren and the crew at
Pietsch Aircraft Restoration & Repair, completed a modification
of the 1946 Taylor Craft BC-12D. At this time the wing was clipped
14 feet, leaving only a 24 foot wingspan. It has a 180 hp Lycoming
engine. This aircraft was originally built as a utility aircraft in
1946. It has been modified to withstand the strains of the aerobatic
routine. This act incorporates nostalgic aerobatic maneuvers from
the 1930's, 40's & 50's. But also includes precision aerobatics
associated with modern aircraft. Warren performs a graceful and
exciting routine in this clipped wing T-Craft.
