 The
traditional Theater in the Woods "Pre-Game Show," presented by
the Aviation Speakers Bureau on Sunday, July 22, is a great way to get
some of the early excitement leading into EAA AirVenture's opening on July
23.
Danny Mortenson will host the event, which
begins at 7:30 p.m. This year, there's a great lineup with aviation
humorist and commercial pilot Mark Grady; Howie Franklin, the head flight
attendant on Air Force One who flew with five U.S. presidents; and Bill
Lishman, who made history when he became the first human to fly in
formation with birds and led a flock on a migration.
This event is always a favorite with those
who arrive prior to opening day. It takes place at Theater in the Woods, a
shaded pavilion along the flight line, just south of AeroShell Square.
