Following their May 10, on-site planning
meeting at the EAA Air Academy Lodge, members of the International
Federal Partnership (IFP) announced that the Federal Pavilion is
AirVenture 2007-ready. Dave Grantham, U.S. Customs, and the rest of the
17 government agencies from Canada, the Bahamas, and the U.S. were
welcomed to EAA by Tom Poberezny, president, Earl Lawrence, vice
president of government and industry affairs, and Randy Hansen,
government relations director.
"We have a record 17 agencies
displaying in the Pavilion this year, along with 11 display
aircraft." said Dave Grantham, volunteer coordinator for the IFP.
"It's always amazing to see how recent aeronautical advancements
effect the IFP displays. One of the new agencies, the Department of
Justice, will be displaying two of their new light-sport surveillance
aircraft - a Sky Arrow, and a powered parachute."
