EAA radio broadcasts
worldwide
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
2007 marks EAA Radio’s 11th year of operations. Over that time, the
station has become incredibly popular with AirVenture attendees and
non-attendees alike. Broadcast 24 hours a day on AM 1210 and FM 100.7 on
the field,
convention-goers can listen to live coverage of the daily air show, the
latest news and announcements, and what’s going on in Theater in the
Woods.
And, thanks to the
Internet, aviation enthusiasts from all over the world who are unable to
attend the convention can listen to a live stream of EAA radio by
visiting www.AirVenture.org/radio.
Here’s what a few listeners had to say:
Hello from Thunder Bay,
Ontario, Canada. I wasn’t able to make it to Oshkosh this year. I flew
down in a Cherokee in 2005 and it was an amazing experience. I wish I
was there.
—Jason Hughes
Hello Oshkosh lovers
everywhere. I’m tuning in on the Internet from Hervey Bay, Queensland,
Australia, as I did last year. As with all of you I suspect, I have been
looking forward to this event for 365 days, even if it is only
electronic. Thanks to EAA for allowing me to "attend."
—Dan McNaughton
Aloha from Honolulu,
Hawaii, to all you lucky aviators at AirVenture 2007! Hey radio
guys...nice job! Mahalo! —Pete
& Jan Dawson
Thanks for all the
efforts with EAA Radio. I’m listening in my garage in Sylmar,
California while working on my RV-9A. I’m doing the glacial-slow
build. Hope to make it to Oshkosh with the new plane sometime before men
land on Mars. Best wishes to all. —Steve |
