Volunteers to be honored with Preston Little Award
By Dana Heimos

Maggie Brady and Shari Jobst will receive the 2007 Preston Little Award of Excellence today at the announcer’s stand along the flightline for their longtime involvement with and dedication to EAA.

Maggie Brady is a most deserving recipient of the Preston Little Award. She exemplifies the type of individual that is much like the person this award is named for. The friendliness she has for everyone she comes in contact with perfectly reflects the spirit of EAA. Maggie’s team effort goes far beyond those in the Air Operations office. She goes all out, whether it’s for performers, sponsors, friends, or EAA membership, and her diplomacy with the FAA is outstanding as well. Maggie’s talents are many, and she brings them all to the Air Operations office team.

Shari has been involved with EAA since moving to Oshkosh, where she was co-chairman of the EAA merchandise building. She has been a member of the "Red Shirt" team as office manager since the early days. Shari has been instrumental in designing and implementing the various forms required by the FAA and EAA. She developed and coordinated the "audience appreciation" ride by performers, also known as the "clap lap."

Shari’s rapport and friendly efforts with all concerned, especially with the FAA, is second to none. Her leadership working with Maggie Brady and Herbie Ropp over the years has made the office run smoothly. The coordination and working relationships she developed with FAA, air show performers, and pilots from the various EAA divisions has been outstanding.
