Enjoy your time here, and thanks for being part
of The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration! |
If you’ve participated
in the event before, whether once or 50 times, you know that describing
this event in a few words is nearly impossible: You have to experience
it to understand it! If this is your first trip here, a special welcome
to you—you’ll soon appreciate the amazing breadth and depth of seven
days featuring the best of everything in aviation.
First and foremost,
AirVenture is the annual fly-in and convention of EAA’s 170,000
members—aviation enthusiasts committed to all facets of recreational
aviation and involved in securing its future. Since our first EAA fly-in
convention in 1953, AirVenture has evolved into a unique intersection
for the entire world of flight. Pilots, aviation businesses,
policymakers, and those who just love airplanes are all welcome to
participate and discover.
With hundreds of
presentations and workshops, AirVenture is also an educational
experience in aviation like no other. And then there’s the sheer
entertainment and spectacle of the daily showcase flying, air shows,
movies, kids’ activities, presentations, and something new around
every corner.
AirVenture has become the
world’s center stage and showcase for the latest and most visionary
developments in flight. With all the breakthroughs, innovations, and
firsts unveiled here over the years, "Oshkosh" is on par with
the world’s top aviation events.
Yet, there is something
unique about AirVenture that sets it apart from any other aviation
gathering. The event has rightly been called aviation’s annual family
reunion. We are a family, joined by a common bond and passion for
flight. We can’t wait to share it with the kindred spirits from all
over the world we find here.
No two AirVentures are
alike—but they’re all memorable. What will AirVenture be for you
this year? Take time to discover and make the experience your own. |
