Diamond Aircraft today
will publicly unveil its innovative DA50 Super Star to the North
American market at the company’s exhibit area outside Hangar C. The
company’s newest offering is a five-seat airplane, powered by a single
Teledyne Continental Motors TSIOF-550 350-hp turbocharged FADEC-equipped
engine.
Other features will
include a three-screen all-glass instrument panel based on Garmin’s
G1000 avionics platform, seat-back video screens for rear-seat
passengers and a moveable rear-center seat to accommodate the fifth
passenger. Diamond says the new DA50 will be certified to a maximum
altitude of 25,000 feet, making it an ideal traveling aircraft.
Diamond Aircraft’s
exhibit here will also feature the full-size mock-up of Diamond’s
personal light jet, the D-JET. Diamond’s complete piston lineup,
including the DA20-C1, DA40 XL, DA40 FP, and DA42 Twin Star will be on
static display, as well as be available for demonstration flights.
Diamond will also be
hosting DiamondFest, an exclusive event for Diamond owners at EAA
AirVenture. This year’s event will take place at the AirVenture Museum
on Friday evening. Registration for Diamond aircraft owners is available
online at www.diamondaircraft.com/dfest,
or visit its display just outside of exhibit hangar C (Combo L). Space
is limited. |
