Inaugural ‘EAA Runway’
5K
Final
results
EAA has joined with the
Oshkosh YMCA to host the first ‘EAA Runway’ 5K. Saturday, July 28,
participants of all ages will walk or run the 3.1-mile route around EAA’s
North 40 on Wittman Road. Event-day registration will be at the Runway
5K tent located just north of the Red Parking Lot on Wittman Road.
Free parking is available
in the Red Lot until race time. Interested runners and walkers can
pre-register in EAA’s Member Village on AirVenture grounds or at the
Run Away Shoes store on Washburn Ave., Oshkosh, next to Buffalo Wild
Wings restaurant.
Starting time is 7:15
a.m., and registration on event day begins at 6:00 a.m. Participants
will receive an event shirt and complimentary bagels, fruit, juice, or
water. All money raised will benefit the Oshkosh YMCA and EAA joint
youth programs.
You can pre-register
until 12 p.m. on Friday, July 27. Entry fee is $25, which includes EAA
AirVenture admission, or $15 if a participant already has an admission
wristband. Early registration is $20; $15 if no admission wristband is
required. Youth price is $8, and ages 6 and younger are free.
Awards will be given for
the top three men and women runners. Timing chips are available.
