Children ages 3-7 have
their own place to "hang" out at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2006.
The Children’s Activity Hangar is a shady spot for pre-schoolers
through younger primary ages to participate in age-appropriate aviation
activities. They can ride a wooden red biplane, make Play-Doh airplanes,
check out stories in many airplane books, or do some "hangar
flying" at the Jay-Jay the Pet Plane table or from the runway at
the Airplane Lego Table. Coloring, cartoons, puzzles, and daily airplane
quizzes are other activities.
The Children’s Activity Hangar is
located north of the FAA control tower and southeast of the Honda Forums
Plaza. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Sunday 9
a.m.-2 p.m. Parents or grandparents must remain with their child, and a
stroller parking area is provided.
