Brennand Airport, Neenah, WI (79C) - For those planning to fly their airplane to AirVenture 2006, but do not want to fly in to Wittman Regional Airport, a convenient alternate destination is Brennand Airport near Neenah. Brennand is located 10 nautical miles DME north of OSH on the 357° radial from the Oshkosh VOR 111.8 mhz. It has a 2,500-foot asphalt runway, room for 100 aircraft, and 100LL fuel. Pilot controlled lighting. Camping is allowed, and some rooms and houses are available. Ground transportation to and from AirVenture is also available (shuttle service). Fond du Lac County Airport, Fond du Lac, WI (FLD) - For those planning to fly their airplane to AirVenture 2006, an alternate destination is Fond du Lac County Airport (FLD) at Fond du Lac WI, located 13.5 nm south of OSH on the 165.5° radial from the Oshkosh VOR 111.8 MHz. Fond du Lac ATIS 119.55, Tower 120.4, Ground 121.85, Unicom 123.05, ASOS 134.0. 5,960-foot asphalt runway, room for 1000 aircraft, 100LL and jet fuel available. Outagamie County Regional Airport, Appleton, Wisconsin - (ATW) - Located approximately 20 miles north of Oshkosh and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Portage Municipal Airport, Portage, WI (C47) - Portage is located 30 nautical air miles from the OSH flight pattern. For the pilot that prefers to leave the plane on the ground just outside of the OSH airspace, Portage, Wisconsin is the perfect place. An air-conditioned coach leaves at 8 AM for OSH and returns from OSH after the air show, getting back to Portage about 7 or 7:30 PM. The bus runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday July 27th, 28th and 29th.

Dubuque Jet Center, Dubuque, IA (DBQ) - Looking for a great fuel stop? On July 20th - July 23rd. the North American Trainers Association will meet here with their T-28's & T-6's to practice maneuvers for the Oshkosh show.
