| WHAT IS WOMEN
SOAR?
Girls in grades 8-12, teachers,
parents, and women who have achieved success in non-traditional
careers will come together amidst the
exciting backdrop of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2006, the “World’s
Greatest Aviation Celebration.” Presented in cooperation with
the FAA, the purpose of Women Soar is to engage girls in EAA
education programs, introduce them to exciting career
opportunities, highlight educational resources available to
them, and promote the belief that the sky is not the limit –
that it is possible to achieve success in aviation, science,
engineering, technology and more. Over the years, educators at
EAA have developed numerous programs designed to build and
preserve the environment in which innovation thrives, dreams
grow, and where aspiring young people can begin building their
future. Women Soar, the newest of these programs, aims to
accomplish this and much more.
IF YOU CAN
DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT
When
you think about your future do you dream of doing something
beyond the ordinary? What does it take to become the next
astronaut, test pilot, engineer, scientist, CEO, or
award-winning journalist? Explore the answers to these questions
by participating in Women Soar. You will be inspired to explore
your potential at this one-of-a-kind two-day event. Women Soar
is an opportunity to meet exceptional women in a variety of
fields who will encourage you to achieve the career of your
dreams.
Maybe you love science but don’t
know if you should pursue it as a career, or perhaps you’re
fascinated by aviation but don’t know what opportunities are
available. Meet women who can help answer your questions.
