International
Visitors Tent
The true world flavor of AirVenture is best captured at the International Visitors' Tent, just south of the FAA Control Tower.
Each year, thousands of visitors from countries all over the world are represented - some nations by a lone participant, others with hundreds of aviation enthusiasts.
There are AirVenture visitors from every continent except Antarctica. Many of them fly their own airplanes to Oshkosh. Others travel in large tourist groups or official government entourages. All of these visitors add an international sparkle and an understanding that aviation is a worldwide language.
At the International Visitors' Tent, visitors receive information about AirVenture or the Oshkosh area. Nearly 30 volunteer interpreters, speaking dozens of languages, assist those visitors who have questions on the convention, housing, restaurants, shopping - any and all questions are answered. The International Visitors' Tent also serves as a 'home-away-from-home', a place to relax during all the activities.
An international highlight of EAA AirVenture is the annual Parade of Nations. Members of each nation's contingent march under their respective flags from the International Visitors' Tent to the air show announcers' area, where they are welcomed to the event by EAA officials.
An International Visitors Parade is held
each year as well.
