Chapter Awards
Major
Achievement Award
The
EAA Major Achievement Award is an opportunity for Chapters to
recognize individuals whose accomplishments, efforts and dedication
they feel have contributed the most in the furthering recreational
aviation. The award recipients have served or are currently serving as
Chapter Leaders and have given of their time and support to Chapter
and EAA programs. Major Achievement Award recipients are excellent
role models for their fellow Members and local communities. Each year
10 individuals are recognized.
EAA Newsletter Editor Award
EAA Chapter 45 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania developed the
McKillop Award. They wanted to recognize their first Chapter
Newsletter Editor for his efforts to produce an informative and easy
to read Newsletter. The Chapter Office took over the judging efforts
several years ago. Previous
Newsletter Award
winners, EAA Staff and Chapter
Members all join together to accomplish the huge task of judging over
1,000 Newsletters from all over the world. The Newsletters are judged
on consistency, appearance, layout and content.
EAA
Web Editor Award
This award was newly
developed in 2000 to recognize the significant place the Chapter
Website has come to hold in the communication efforts of the Chapter.
Web Editors have taken on the challenge to create and maintain a
website that is informative, easy to navigate, eye appealing and
carries the message of the Chapter and EAA. As technology continues to
progress we expect the number of Chapter Websites to grow and for the
judging process to become even more difficult as Chapters take
advantage of this electronic method of communication.
